Structures that last forever.

As of late, I’ve been having a rumination on structures that last A REALLY LONG TIME.

Obviously the first structure that comes to mind is the great pyramids… of which are about (and don’t quote me on this) 4000 years old, but upon further VAST and DETAILED reading via my EXTENSIVE Google search, there are even some structures that go back as far as 8000 years old… (again VAST and DETAILED).

This begs the question… is it possible for human beings to design and construct a structure with the intention of lasting “A REALLY LONG TIME,” that is relatively free from maintenance and re-work over the long term (REALLY long term).
